The top 3 riders in the 2022 MotoGP season were:
- Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team) – 265 points
- Fabio Quartararo (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP) – 248 points
- Enea Bastianini (Gresini Racing MotoGP) – 219 points
Bagnaia won the championship after a thrilling season-long battle with Quartararo. The two riders were tied on points going into the final race of the season, but Bagnaia was able to secure the title by finishing second in the race. Bastianini finished third in the championship, his first top-three finish in the MotoGP class.
The 2022 MotoGP season was one of the most exciting in recent years, with a number of different riders challenging for the title.
