The news broke just moments ago, Moto3 rider Jason Dupasquier dies after Mugello qualifying crash.
Jason Dupasquier is a 19 years old swiss rider who lost his life today, Sunday morning.
Dupasquier was involved in a multi-rider incident between turn 9 and 10 during the round 6 Mugello Circuit – Italian GP qualifying and the session was red flagged(stopped) later. And it also caused the delay in starting MotoGP qualifying.
The other rider involved in the crash, KTM Tech3 rider Japanese rider Ayumu Sasaki and Spaniard Jeremy Alcoba are safe and fine. But Jason Dupasquier passed away one day after the crash.
Earlier today the hospital treating him released a statement read “he is suffering severe brain damage” and multiple injuries.
The FIM released a statement on Saturday that “Dupasquier is in a very serious condition”.
Dupasquier was treated track side by the circuit’s medical team for about thirty to thirty five minutes. And he was airlifted by helicopter to a medical facility.
